(The Birth records say 1921, but the stone says 1922) W. A. Lomas M. D. was the doctor at the time of death. Wolfe Mortuary, Villisca, Iowa. She was buried in a steel vault and at the time of her death the funeral director handed her father, Frank the key and he threw it as far as he could. Aunt Babe said if you were to open the steel vault she would look the same until the air hit her. LOIS FERN PATTERSON Lois Fern Patterson, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Patterson, died Friday morning at 2:10 o'clock at her home in this city, her death resulting from cholera infantum after illness of less than twenty-four hours. She was born in Villisca on February 24, 1922, and leaves her parents, two sisters, Grace and Ruby Frances, and one brother, Harold. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Methodist Church, Rev. J. L. Boyd having charge of the service. The singing was by Mr. F. E. Shane and Miss Georgia Winters with Mrs. J. L. Wheeler at the organ, and the pall bearers were Grace Stewart, Elizabeth Pierson, Inez Porter, and Katherine Taylor. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. We buried her little cousin just 5 weeks before, But little did we think death would soon call at our door. And when it did call it walked right in and took, Our darling baby out of this world of sin. Oh! It seems so hard to lay her to rest, The Savior above all ways knows what is best.
