Mrs. Harrington passed away Sunday, November 8, at the hospital in Superior. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, November 12, 1981; pg. 12 =============================== Lola Maude Harrington, daughter of Frank and Grace Nelson, was born southwest of Nelson and departed this life November 8, 1981, at the age of 91 years and four months. February 24, 1918, Lola was united in marriage to Ira Harrington. To this union three children were born. Lola has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson since its beginning. In spite of her handicap of not being able to hear, she has been a remarkable lady, knowing everyone, where they lived and what work they were doing. She never complained and always had a smile for everyone. She has been a member of the Nelson Presbyterian Church for many years. She enjoyed the Sunday School sessions at the home very much. Preceding her in death were her children, Hope Fisher and William Leroy; her husband, Ira; her parents; two brothers, Gourley Nelson and Roy Nelson and Roy's wife, Elsie; two sisters, Carrie Taylor and Henrietta Rouse. Survivors include her son, Clifford of Omaha; nieces, Marguerite Peters of Edgar, Hazel Crook of Inglewood, Colorado, Madalyn Graham of Superior; Phyllis Nelson of Fullerton California; and Donna Montgomery of Greeley, Colorado; nephews, Duane Nelson of Cupertino, California, and Clifford Taylor; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, from the Klawitter Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Pallbearers were Guy Bruce, Berness Miller, Jake Chapman, Fritz Wehrman, Ivan Schafer and Gordon Sheets. "Beyond The Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" were sung by the Nelson Presbyterian Choir with Esther Wehrman as organist. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
