He was 71 years of age. Born in Crisfield in 1881, he was the son of the late Littleton and Margaret Beauchamp Milbourne,and the husband of Mrs. Grace T. Milbourne. MILBOURNE DIED ON SUNDAY Retired Seafood Man Buried Wednesday Mr. Lora Jerome Milbourne, well known seafood dealer and highly respected Lawsonia resident, died at his home there Sunday evening, after a prolonged illness. He was 71 years of age. Born in Crisfield in 1881, he was the son of the late Littleton and Margaret Beauchamp Milbourne,and the husband of Mrs. Grace T. Milbourne. Member of a prominent Somerset family, Mr. Milbourne had been engaged in some phase of the seafood business all his life. He was a very competent man, an authority on seafood, and followed high standards in his business dealings. A quiet, friendly man, he possessed many fine traits of character, and had a large circle of friends in the community who admired and respected him. Mr. Milbourne had been a useful citizen, helpful to many during his lifetime, and had earned the esteem and regard in which he was generally held. Funeral services were held in the Covington Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. Robert E. Green, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Asbury cemetery. Bearers were Luther Johnson, Robert Sterling, Paige Sterling, Bertram Mason, Stanley Somers and Edwin Somers. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Lewis of Crisfield, Mrs. Margaret T. Smith of Baltimore, and Mrs. Elva M. Nelson of Salisbury, Md., two sons, Ronald J. Milbourne of Crisfield and Brice C. Milbourne of Baltimore, a step-daughter, Mrs. Geraldine T. Sterling of Chester, Pa., one sister, Mrs. Stouten Sterling, one brother, Herbert Milbourne, both of Crisfield, eleven grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and a number of nephews and nieces.
