Read More	WELL KNOWN MATRON DIED LAST SUNDAY Mrs. Margaret Moore Was Buried On Tuesday Mrs. Margaret Moore, one of the community's best known and most highly respected matrons, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lois Sterling, in the Byrdtown section last Sunday afternoon. She was 73 years of age. Born here, she was the daughter of the late Littleton and Margaret J. Milbourne, and the widow of the late Job Moore. Mrs. Moore was a very neighborly woman, and had performed many good deeds in the course of her life which endeared her to all who knew her. She was devoted to her family and her home, and her hospitality and interest in her neighbors and friends had gained for her the respect and affection of all. For many years and as long as her health permitted, Mrs. Moore was an active and valued member of Asbury Methodist Church and regular in her attendance there. News of her death was received with profound sorrow in the community. She reposed at the Covington Funeral Home until 1.45 p.m. Tuesday, and was then removed to Asbury Methodist Church, where funeral services were held at 2.00 o'clock with Rev. Robert E. Green officiating. Interment was in the family lot in Asbury cemetery. Bearers were Loren Sterling, Blake Dryden, George Massey, Ronald Milbourne, William B. Maddox, Ira Howard and Joseph Hand. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Daugherty and Mrs. Lois Sterling of Crisfield, one son, Herbert G. Moore of Compton, Cal., one sister, Mrs. Willie Sterling of Crisfield and two brothers, Jerome Milbourne and Herbert Milbourne, both of Crisfield, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, October 6, 1950, p. 1 _________ Margaret Milbourne Moore is buried in the Milbourne plot at Asbury Cemetery. In the front row is Lora J. Milbourne, his wife Julia Sterling Milbourne, Lora's parents, Margaret Beauchamp Milbourne and Littleton M. Milbourne. In the second row is Job Moore, his wife, Margaret Milbourne Moore, daughter of Littleton Milbourne, and two unmarked graves.
