A large number of her old time friends and relatives from Council Bluffs and Omaha and other places were here to attend the services. Among them were Mrs. E.W. Fletcher and daughter, Mrs. Amy Wilston and little daughter of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Vera Stouder, Miss Fern Moses, and Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Williams of Omaha. Mrs. Evalyn Newman of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., Mrs and Mrs. Ralph Thomas of Chicago, Mrs. Edna Harvey of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Reno Moore and three sons of Hooper,Nebr. The following obituary was given: Lucille Moore was born in Malvern, Iowa, July 24, 1905,to James Reno and Elizabeth (Dott) Margarett (Tunison) Moore, and died at Chicago, Ill., June 20 1932 at the very young age of twenty-six years, ten months, and five days. She was united in the bonds of marriage to Floyd R. Walton April 26, 1927, and since then they made their home in Chicago. There remains to miss her and mourn her departure, her husband, her father, (James)Reno Moore, a stepmother, a grandfather, two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Evalyn)Newman, of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., and Mrs. Ralph (Katherine)Thomas of Blue Island, Ill., and four brothers, Elwin (Ted) George, Frederick (Fritz) Reno, (William)Gene, and Robert Rex Moore, all of Hooper, Nebr. Mrs. Walton had been quite ill for about a year, and during this time she was brave, cheerful, and patient, reading her Bible as long as she was able to do so, and when not, she requested others to read for her. Thus the word was a comfort and strength. All that love and medical skill could do was done. She also had the special care of her Aunt, Edna Harvey, who was by her side continually for the last five months; but death claimed her before she had reached middle life. Today we are bowed with grief, in the midst of friends, loved ones, and relatives in the community of her birth and childhood days. We submit to the mystery of death and sorrow, and also to the will of God by faith, knowing that He doth all things well; so today we lay away the body that perishes to await the resurrection and do so in the hope and faith which was Mrs. Walton's as she read and reread her Bible and as others read it to her. To her it must have been as it was to David, who said: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."
