Description	:	Dubuque Telegraph Herald Thursday 27 Dec 1945 LYLE FISHER Edgewood, Ia -- Special: Lyle Fisher, 63, lifelong resident of the Edgewood community, died at his home in Edgewood Christmas night, following a month's illness. Mr. Fisher had undergone treatment at St. Luke's hospital for three weeks, and returned home last Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist church at Edgewood, in charge of he pastor, the Rev. Mr. Scott. Burial will be made at Edgewood. A son of the late Louis and Sophia Hesner Fisher, he was born April 5, 1882, at Edgewood. He attended the schools in that vicinity and was married April 20, 1910, to Miss Mary Boone, daughter of the E.E. Boone and Mrs. Boone, of Manchester, at the bride's home, then near Edgewood. He bought the old Fisher homestead farm, two and one-half miles northeast of Edgewood, which he operated until about two years ago. Mr. Fisher then turned the farm over to his son, Doyle, and retired to Edgewood, wehre he resided until his death. Survivors are the widow, of Edgewood; six chidren, First Sgt. Karl Fisher, now on furlough; Mrs. Howard (Maxine) Beatty of Edgewood; Lyle Fisher, Jr. of Greeley; Doyle Fisher, of Edgewood; Sgt. Neil Fisher, stationed in Mississippi, and Miss Apryl Fisher, of Manchester; six grandchildren; one brother, Fred Fisher, Edgewood; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Teeden, Elkader, Ia., and Mrs. Irving Hindal, Greenwood, Wis. Two brothers and two sisters preceded Mr. Fisher in death.
