Description	:	MRS. SNIDER RITES SATURDAY Margaret A. Snider, 83, of 1010 Pearl St., Grinnell, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 29, at Grinnell general Hospital. Funeral services were scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sam Reaves, pastor of the Grinnell Assembly of God Church, officiating. Organist was Naomi Reaves, and pallbearers were William Cidell, Gary McCulley, John McCulley, Roger McCulley, Tom Stanford and Edwin Snider. Burial was in the West Liberty Cemetery west of Montezuma. The daughter of James and Fannie Hudson McCoy, she was born Sept. 12, 1900 near Montezuma. She attended Union Township School No. 5 and Montezuma High School. She was married to Franklin Clark Snider in Montezuma on Jan. 14, 1920, and they farmed near the West Liberty community until1 943 when they moved to Lynnville, and Mr. Snider was employed at the John Deere implement Co. in Sully. They moved to Grinnell in 1951. Mrs. Snider was a past president of Vetarns of World War I Auxiliary, the West Liberty Church of Christ, and the Forest Home Community Club. While in Grinnell she was employed at the Swift and Co. produce station and for Fudge's Produce. She is survived by her children, Margaret McCulley of Grinnell, Charles C. Snider of Geneseo, Ill., and James E. Snider of San Francisco, Calif; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nellie Craver of Montezuma and Elizabeth Sarver of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin, in 1969; and one sister, Alice McCoy in infancy.
