Description	:	Margaret Noll, 81, was born June 10, 1912, north of Arthur, Iowa, the daughter of Winfred and Mary (Bleakly) Noll. She graduated from Arthur High School in 1929 and received a diploma from the University of Commerce in Des Moines, Iowa, after attending from 1930 to 1932. For many years, she was a writer for Wallace's Farmer, and worked selling subscriptions and running linotype at the Holstein Advance from 1946 to 1953. She died Jan. 23, 1994, at the Horn Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were at the Arthur Methodist Church with Rev. W. Michael Biklen, the Rev. Joseph Boysen, and Rev. Robert Lundberg officiating. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa. Through the years, she did circulation work for various area newspapers including the Advance, Anthon Herald, Laurens Sun, Sac City Sun, Manson Journal and the Odebolt Chronicle. In 1953, she opened Noll's Educational Books and Toys. She purchased books from 76 publishers and sold to schools and libraries in Iowa and Western Nebraska. She was the only woman book jobber in Iowa during the 1960s. She retired in 1991 and sold her business. She was active in the Arthur United Methodist Church, serving as pianist for many years, Sunday School teacher, Superintendent, mission chairman, lay leader, lay speaker, conference delegate, and member and officer of the United Methodist Women. She served as pianist for Arthur High School graduations for many years. Survivors include a brother and his wife, Darrell and Marie Noll, of Arthur, 7 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Francis Noll.
