In 1866, when Maggie was eleven years old, her parents moved to a farm two miles west of Stratford in Webster county, where she lived until her married with Olof Landgren in December, 1872. Read More	Stratford Courier September 3, 1914 Obituary Landgren Margareta Dorothea, daughter of Charles and Annie Samuelson, was born in Wapello county, Iowa, April 13, 1855, and died at the Eleanor Moore hospital at Boone, Tuesday, August 25, 1914, aged 59 years, 4 months and 12 days. In 1866, when Maggie was eleven years old, her parents moved to a farm two miles west of Stratford in Webster county, where she lived until her married with Olof Landgren in December, 1872. They moved to Hamilton county, south of Stratford, where they lived until 1894, when they moved to Stratford. Her only child, Charles William, died April 20, 1900, aged 25 years. For the last eight years she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. S.M. Johnson, and family, where she was affectionately know as "Aunt Maggie." Though she never united with the church she was a faithful attendant of the M.E. church, believed in its teachings and contributed toward its support. She was taken sick the 2nd of August and though not considered serious, she grew steadily worse until it was deemed best to remove her to the hospital at Boone for better treatment. But no human help could stay the disease, and she paid nature's last due, and her hands are now folded in death. She was reconciled thereto and told her sister she was ready to go whenever the time came. The funeral services were held at the residence and the M.E. church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. Albertson. The members of the Cedar Camp R.N.A. No. 4746, of which deceased was an active member, in accordance with the wishes of the deceased, formed a part of the procession. The casket was bedecked with beautiful flowers and emblems, among them being a beautiful emblem given by the Cedar Camp. A large audience of friends were present to pay their last respects to their departed friend and neighbor. The remains were escorted to the Oakwood cemetery, where they were interred. The only near relatives remaining are her sister, Mrs. S.M. Johnson, and husband, and their children, Leonard, Mrs. May Kail, Garrett, Earl and Etta. Besides these she leaves a large host of friends to mourn her departure.
