Description	:	Maria M Starr Death has again visited our little town by taking from the home of Mr. Starr, the loving wife and fond mother. Marie Minert was born in Green county, Wisconsin, September 2, 1841. She moved to Montgomery County, Iowa with her parents in 18599. She was married to Adam Starr April 9, 1867, to whom were born four children, all of them with her husband live to mourn their loss. Read More	Maria M Starr Death has again visited our little town by taking from the home of Mr. Starr, the loving wife and fond mother. Marie Minert was born in Green county, Wisconsin, September 2, 1841. She moved to Montgomery County, Iowa with her parents in 18599. She was married to Adam Starr April 9, 1867, to whom were born four children, all of them with her husband live to mourn their loss. They moved to Nodaway in 1892 where they have since made their home. When a girl she united with the M. E. Church and continued a member of that church until a few years ago, when she with her husband united with the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway, where she remained a devoted member until she was called to her heavenly home away from all sorrow and pain where many dear to her heart, over there, were watching and waiting for her. During her sickness all medical aid was summoned, but to no avail, death was the only relief. She rest from her suffering and labor and her work will follow her. Their many friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved family who have so tenderly cared for her and tried to make her last days days of joy and happiness, but we know she is now in the care of the heavenly father whose love for her it is plain to see is wise and tender, surpassing all our own deep affection, as far as the unselfish love of an angel, surpassed the love of a weak and erring creature of earth. The wiser love of the good father hath transplanted a flower on earth to blossom in the warmer atmosphere of heaven, and if we only trust we will see this precious blossom, tat we tended with such care. The funeral services were held at the home, August 17, at which there was a very large attendance. The services were conducted by Rev. Rowley of Brooks. The remains were interred in the Nodaway Cemetery. Adams County Free Press, August 24, 1899, page 2
