Description	:	Marie Caroline Lautensleger, 63, of Brewster, died Wednesday, March 11, 1992, in the Okanogan Douglas Hospital in Brewster. Mrs. Lautensleger was born in Wenatchee on March 29, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Harriet (Viancour) Huckins of Pateros where she attended school and graduated from the Pateros High School in 1946. She attended Washington State University in Pullman for two years and Eastern Washington University at Cheney for two years graduating in 1951 with a BA in education. Read More	Marie Caroline Lautensleger, 63, of Brewster, died Wednesday, March 11, 1992, in the Okanogan Douglas Hospital in Brewster. Mrs. Lautensleger was born in Wenatchee on March 29, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Harriet (Viancour) Huckins of Pateros where she attended school and graduated from the Pateros High School in 1946. She attended Washington State University in Pullman for two years and Eastern Washington University at Cheney for two years graduating in 1951 with a BA in education. She was married to Don Lautensleger on August 26, 1949, in Pateros, where they lived for 16 years then moved to Brewster. Mrs. Lautensleger taught elementary school in Brewster for 24 years and one year in Malott, retiring from the Brewster School District in 1980. Mrs. Lautensleger was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 97 of Brewster, St. James Episcopal Church of Brewster, Washington, State Retired Teachers Association, AARP, Brewster Senior Citizens and Brewster Grange. She is survived by her husband, Don at the home in Brewster; a son Steve and wife Carol, two grandchildren, Angie and Russell of Pateros; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter. Services were conducted Monday, March 16, 1992, 2:00 pm from the Barnes Chapel, Brewster, with Rev. Larry Trim officiating. Interment followed at the Brewster Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post No. 97 Scholarship Fund, Heart Fund or the Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements by Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
