Dyson of Lyons, Nebraska, Sunday, December 10. The Rev. Nobel B. Blackman conducted the services. Music was furnished by Delbert Pickerton, a nephew of the deceased, who was accompanied by Mrs. J. E. Mrs. Wortz was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin and came to Mills county with her parents when she was 4 years of age and with the exception of the last two years had made her home in the vicinity of Malvern. She attended the Methodist seminary which was located in Glenwood. She started to teach when she was 17 and taught for 20 years. In 1906, she went to England to visit the old home of her parents. In 1923, she was united in marriage to Charles G. Wortz, who preceded her in death in 1935. She came from a long lived family, her grandmother living to be 102.
