Description	:	Mary Adaline Tiffany, widow of the late Dr. J. W. Tiffany, died Friday afternoon, 25 [November], at 3:15 p.m., at the home of her son, Chas. E. Smith, in Kansas City, Mo. Tuberculosis, from which she has been suffering for about 14 months, caused her death. Mrs. Tiffany was 49 years old and was born near Shell Rock, Iowa. She lived in Iowa for 36 years, moving then to Grand Island, Neb., with her husband. Eight years ago, Dr. and Mrs. Tiffany came to Hiawatha, which has since been their home. Dr. Tiffany died in August 1904, after a short illness. The body of Mrs. Tiffany was brought to Hiawatha Sunday afternoon and taken at once to Mt. Hope cemetery, where Rev. C. P. Connolly conducted a short service. Mrs. Tiffany left Hiawatha only a few weeks ago for Colorado. Failing to regain her health there, she gave up hope and went to the home of her son in Kansas City to die. She carried $2000 insurance in the Fraternal Brotherhood. Because she did not live two years after taking out the policy, only $1000 will be paid to her heirs. Her son, Chas. E. Smith, is her only near relative living.
