MARY McKENZIE DIED EARLY TODAY AT WASHINGTON Mrs. Mary McKenzie passed away this morning at her home in Washington. Her death was very sudden. MARY McKENZIE HELD HERE THIS MORNING Mrs. Mary McKenzie, aged 54 years, was taken ill with acute indigestion, last Sunday night at her home, 615 North Avenue C., Washington, and died Monday afternoon. Brief funeral services were held at the late home at 7:30 this morning, and the funeral party came to Fairfield on the 9:57 train. The remains were taken at once to the Christian church where services were held. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery. Thirty years ago Mrs. McKenzie united with the Christian Church and held her membership in that congregation. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keltner and was born at Fairfield, March 28, 1865. Her mother is still living here. She was married March 15, 1886, to Kenneth McKenzie, who died six years ago. Mrs. McKenzie moved to Washington four years ago from Ottumwa, which had been her home for a number of years. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. T. G. Watts of Des Moines; Miss Vera McKenzie of Washington, and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan of Des Moines, and six brothers, Charles, Clarence, William and Frank Keltner of Fairfield, Delmar Keltner of Ottumwa and David Keltner of Spencer. One brother and two sisters are deceased.
