She had been confined to her home ever since she fell and fractured a hip. Read More	OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - March 17, 1941 Mrs. Mary Catherine Alber, 83, 467 North Huntington Street, died at her home at 10:30 Saturday night of complications following failing health for the last four years. She had been confined to her home ever since she fell and fractured a hip. The decedent was the widow of Dan Alber who several years ago was one of the community's business leaders, being a member of the firm of Carpenter and Alber Hardware store. Later he was associated with the Hipskinds in the hardware business. Mrs. Alber, was born in Wabash, Nov 25, 1857, the daughter of Christian and Margaret (Duffey) Hilty. She went as a bride to the house at north Huntington street, and it remained her home for the rest of her life. Three daughters; Edith, Ethel, and Georgia, preceded her in death several years ago. Survivors include two nieces, Miss Doris Maddux, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Harvey Johnson, Englewood, Calif., and one nephew, Charles Maddux, also living in the west. The body was taken to the Hoover Funeral home, where it will remain until the hour of the last rites, which will be conducted at St. Bernard's Catholic church, of which she was a member. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Bernard's church with Rev. Leo Hoffman, pastor, officialing. #Burial wlll be at Falls cemetery.
