Description	:	Obituary Evans—Mary Eliza Caroline Crews, daughter of James-Delala Crews, was born in Wayne county, Iowa, Sept. 14, 1862, died May 20, 1937, aged 74 years, 8 months, 6 days. She was united in marriage to William Robert Evans, April 2, 1879, at Lineville, Iowa, where they made their home. They moved to Kansas in April, 1908, making their home near and in Hiawatha, Kans., until 1930, when they went to Boulder, Colo., later moving to Hamlin, Kans., where they spent the remainder of their lives. Evans, of Hamlin, Kans., Homer Evans, of California; 3 daughters, Mrs. Bertha Yingling, of Hiawatha, Mrs. Mae Phillips, of Des Moines, Ia., Frances Evans, of Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many other relatives, friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Hargis funeral home, Rev. Y. S. Beans officiating. Mrs. Y. S. Beans, Mrs. H. H. Wright sang two musical numbers, Mrs. B. E. Spalding accompanist. Bodybearers were Noel Yingling, Lyle Yingling, Orlie Yingling, John Harris, Charley Hopper, Ike Crews. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. —The Hiawatha Daily World (Hiawatha, KS) Mon.
