Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday morning, April 26, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. 2 sisters, Claire Gesie of Monticello and Regina Schmidt, Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her Parents, and 3 sisters, Helen, Dorothy and Marjorie. Mary Genevieve O'Rourke was born April 10, 1921 at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Michael Ambrose and Mary Brady, O'Rourke. Jennie graduated from the Sacred Heart High School in 1938. She worked at John McDonald Hospital and then for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. For the past 38 years she was employed at the Monticello Express Newspaper. She had also worked at the Heights Supper Club. Jennie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Camp Courageous helping with their publication the Courier. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
