He was preceded in death by his parents; son Randy; grandson Lance Hannon; wife Nancy, on December 1, 2020; siblings Mary Ortez, and husband Dick, Lil Arellano, and husband Rick, Margaret Walker; sister-in-law Marietta Nunez. Survivors include brother Mike Nunez, of Omaha; children and spouses, Mike and Barb Nice, of Council Bluffs, Lois Haas and Jim, of North Carolina, Gib Hannon, of Omaha, Russ Hannon and Judy, of Omaha, Tom Hannon, of Council Bluffs, Steve Nice, Susan Kjeldgaard and Duane, Lisa Nice and Don Donnelly, Paula Nice, Kathy Spring, all of Council Bluffs, Kathy Lemon and Kevin, of Eagle Grove, IA., Tony Nunez and Kimberly, of Mondamin, IA., Michelle Nunez, of Council Bluffs; 31 grandchildren; a nest of great and great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Thursday 11:00 a.m., all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel.
