Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Bruce Funeral Home, PO Box 192, Gardner, 913-856- 7111. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Spring Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs or the Hillsdale Friends Group: Collin's Playground Fund (May's great grandson). Condolences may be sent to www.brucefuneralhome.com May Bell was born November 27, 1927 in Olathe, to Ray and Florence Brown Suddarth. She married Wilbur Lloyd "Red" Finders in 1969 in Grove, OK, and suddenly her family grew to the size it is today. They moved to Olathe, then to the family farm in Missouri and then back to Olathe in 1972. She was a member of the Presbyterian PCA in Olathe. May loved to crochet, winning awards at county fairs, and making blankets for all of her family. She was a wonderful Granny. May was known for winning her one and only drag race that she entered. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Harley Hawk in 1968; her siblings John, and Ray Suddarth, Lavone Richardson and Mildred Hawk; son Frank Finders, a granddaughter Shannon Winters, and a great grandson Collin Winters. May Bell is survived by her husband "Red" Finders, of the home; her chosen children, Patty Winters and Fred of Hillsdale, KS, Mike Finders and Judy of Olathe, Shirley Hatcher and James of Texas; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and eleven nieces and nephews.
