Stutzman was born May 6, 1939, on a farm southwest of Milford, Nebraska, the 2nd son born to Manno and Maggie (Erb) Stutzman, and passed away on Friday, February 25th, 2011, at Crestview Nursing Home in Milford at the age of 71 years, 9 months 19 days. Stutzman was born May 6, 1939, on a farm southwest of Milford, Nebraska, the 2nd son born to Manno and Maggie (Erb) Stutzman, and passed away on Friday, February 25th, 2011, at Crestview Nursing Home in Milford at the age of 71 years, 9 months 19 days. As a young boy, Morris attended Rosedale Country School District #18, later Milford Public School. He was baptized in his youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church. During his high school days, he worked at Beckman's Service Station, Conner Roofing and helped run the Eicher Texaco Station. He spent two years in Denver where he worked in the hospital x-ray department. Morris was united in marriage to Connie Wardwell on December 27, 1969 in Seward and was fortunate to have a ready-made family with two girls, Tina and Penny. In Feb. 1971, a daughter, Kelli, was born. Together they lived in the Milford-Seward area, with the exception of 4 years in Michigan. Morris began a mobile home transportation business and called his semi-truck, "Yellowbird". Upon his return to Nebraska he worked at various over the road truck driving jobs, and also was employed with construction crews before his retirement in 2004. During his retirement, Morris was a caregiver to Connie as well as spending time volunteering at the Milford Senior Center. He also operated the Salvage Yard outside of Milford for several years. Morris had a passion for hunting and searching for aluminum cans, loved collecting miniature farm tractors, avon cars and bottles and antiques. He loved the time spent with his family and especially caring for his grandchildren. His dog, "Tia" was special as well were the hours he would spend with her riding in the basket on his bicycle. Survivors are: wife, Connie Stutzman, Milford; daughters and son-in-law, Tina Harris and special friend Jim Buck, Lincoln, Penny and Roger Obershaw, Rogers, NE, Kelli Hughes, Lincoln; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Stutzman, brother-in-law and sister-in-laws, Richard and LaVonne Johnson, Midland, MI, and Phyllis Wakefield, Arizona, and a host of relatives and friends. Morris was preceded in death in by his parents, Manno and Maggie Stutzman, grandson, Joseph Obershaw, brothers, Clarence, Walter, Clayton, Roy, Arthur and Percy Stutzman, and sisters, Mabel Beckler and Elda Shettler.
