Description	:	Mrs. Nellie Morrison Hoots, age 99, of Roaring River died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:30 AM, June 16, 2008 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Dr. Monroe Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Benham Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hoots was born September 5, 1908 in Wilkes County to Charlie and Rosa Crysel Morrison. Before retiring she worked as a seed consultant at Little's Seed Store. She was a member of Benham Baptist Church. Her husband, Jack Hoots; a son, Warner Hoots; five brothers, Richard Morrison, Charles Morrison, J. D. Morrison, Hubert Morrison, Bryce Morrison; three sisters, Ruth Reeves, Pansy Blevins and Grace Anderson; a granddaughter, Rebecca Brown Mathis and a great-grandson, Aaron Metz preceded her in death. She is survived by: four daughters, Audrey Brown and husband, Glenn of Mooresville; Ann Bumgarner and husband, Doug of Roaring River, Betty Pugh and husband Henry of North Wilkesboro, Evonne Bryant of Macon, GA; two sons, Jake Hoots and wife, Kate of Millers Creek, John T. Hoots and wife, Nena of Roaring River; three sisters, Mary Neil Covington of Jefferson, Reba Morrison, Edith Childress both of Crumpler; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and five great, great, grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Monday from 9:30AM to 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Donations, 6350 North Andrews Avenue, Forst Lauderdale, FL 33309-2130 or Carolina Donor Service, 1551 Westbrook Plaza Drive, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103.
