Description	:	Orra Nims Shaw. Mrs. Orra Nims Shaw, daughter of D. B. and J. A. Nims, and twin sister of Mrs. Cora Nims Shaw, was born at Emerson, Iowa, June 16, 1879. Brought up under Christian training and influence, she early in life gave her heart to Christ and her hand to the M. E. church Ashbury. Nims, and twin sister of Mrs. Cora Nims Shaw, was born at Emerson, Iowa, June 16, 1879. Brought up under Christian training and influence, she early in life gave her heart to Christ and her hand to the M. E. church Ashbury. Being of a reserved nature she lived an unostentatious Christian life, ever ready to do what she could to advance the cause of the church, Sabbath school and Epworth League. She was married to Frank E. Shaw Feb. 22, 1898. To them was given, April 24, 1899, a bright, winsome daughter, Wilma. In the spring of 1900, in impaired health she accompanied her husband to their newly purchased home in Harrison county. Not regaining her health there she returned to Mills county just before the holidays of the same year. Medical skill and loving hands did all that could be done to restore her failing health, but to little purpose. She bore her ills without a murmur and April 19, 1901, passed away peacefully to the enjoyment of the Christian's reward. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, and loving husband and little daughter, three sisters, two brothers, and a hos of relatives and friends. Malvern Leader, April 25, 1901, page 2
