He died at the home where he was born, March 14, 1901, aged 28 years, 1 month and 14 days. All, or nearly all, of his comparatively short life was spent in this immediate vicinity. Read More	Mooresville Guide, March 22, 1901 Oscar Perry, son of Fred and Christina Keller, was born near Mooresville, Ind., October 31, 1872. He died at the home where he was born, March 14, 1901, aged 28 years, 1 month and 14 days. All, or nearly all, of his comparatively short life was spent in this immediate vicinity. His was a genial disposition, with a kind word and a friendly greeting for everyone. His last illness extended over a period of nearly two years; much of this time he spent in the Southwest, in pursuit of health. It seemed for a while that he would gain the object of his pursuit, but alas, the grim monster was upon his track. Oscar desired to die in his dear old home, so after a long and tedious journey, he arrived at home February 3rd. He was soon confined to his bed. He was very patient during the few weeks of severe affliction. It was an easy matter to care for him, he so greatly appreciated all that was done. The expression be most frequently used was: "All right, that's all right." For some time, he had been seeking the Lord. He wanted to know beyond a doubt that his peace was made with God. After he returned to father's and mother's home, his prayer was fully answered. He received the peace of God, which passeth all understanding. He was wonderfully satisfied in Christ, and, while he regretted that he did not give his heart to God in earlier life, he rejoiced in God's great mercy and grace that had saved him and given him victory as he stood face to face with death. His last days were his happiest ones. Most of the last hours of his life were spent in prayer. He called father, mother, brothers and sisters about him and plead with them to meet him in Heaven. His spirit peacefully took its flight to view the glories of the world beyond, and to meet loved ones who have passed over the river. There are left to mourn their sad loss, father, mother, five brothers and four sisters. [Obit provided by Cathea Curry member 47339429]
