Description	:	Park Paige Dies After Suffering Stroke Funeral services for Park G. Paige were held Thursday (today) Dec. 26 at the Steele Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Fahrion officiating. The pallbearers were Homer Carpenter, Earl Klausen, William Couton, George Heil, Cloyce Sides, and Richard Wrehe. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery. Park Greenwalt was born to Mr. and Mrs. Elbridge G. Park Greenwalt was born to Mr. and Mrs. Elbridge G. Paige on March 31, 1876 in Butler County. When a small boy the family moved to Sherman County and lived south of Ashton. On April 22, 1908 he was united in marriage with Josephine Talbot. They lived in the Austin community for many years. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church at Austin and Loup City and also served on the Sherman County Fair Board for many years. In 1948 they retired from farming and moved to Loup City. He had made his home with his son Alonzo and daughter-in-law since 1957. He had been visiting his children in California, Oregon and Washington the past two months. He died Dec. 22 after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage in Roseburg, Ore. He was 87 years, eight months and 21 days of age. Survivors are his five children, three sons, Harold of Grand Island, Alonzo of Loup City, and Elbridge of Roseburg, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Nelson (Florence) of Camas, Wash., and Mrs. Franseth (Ruth) of Red Bluff, Calif.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on April 14, 1950, four brothers and one sister. The Sherman County Times - Dec 26 1963
