Read More	Ulysses Dispatch (Ulysses, Nebr.), March 7, 1929, p. 1, col. 1 & 2 OBITUARY Patrick Joseph Considine Parick Joseph Considine died at his home in David City on Monday February 25, 1929, aged 64 years, 5 months and 24 days. He was born at Davenport, Iowa, on September 1, 1864, and while a small boy moved with his parents, brothers and sisters to Lincoln, and later to Friend, Nebr. In 1881 the family moved to Staplehurst, where they lived for a number of years and were engaged in farming. On August 25, 1897, deceased was married at Seward, Nebr., to Miss Bridget Nihill, who survives him. Three children were born to them, Mary and Luetta both of David City and Elizabeth, who died in infancy. In 1905 he and his wife and family moved to David City, where they have since resided and where he leaves many warm friends who will kindly remember him. Besides his wife and two daughters, he leaves a brother, James Considine of Billings, Mont., and a sister, Mrs. Wm. Coyle of Ulysses, also several nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was a kind husband and father, a sincere Catholic, a member of the Modern Woodman of America, and was honest and upright in all his dealings. He has been a sufferer from heart trouble and rheumatism for the past few years, but was able to be up and about until last December, when he received a paralytic stroke. He was conscious until the end came and spent his last days in fervent prayer with perfect resignation to the will of God. The funeral services were conducted at the David City Catholic church by Rev. Father Eckler and the remains were laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery David City. The pallbearers were B. H. Eiting, Frank Eiting, Frank Birkel, Thomas Flynn, John Keefe and Pete Vanderheiden. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were James Considine of Billings, Mont., James McGowan of Schuyler, Nebr., Miss Mary Nihill of Omaha, August Miller and the Pete Lakers family of Columbus, the John Kelly family and Lawrence Timony family of York and many relatives and friends from Ulysses. Dear husband, father, brother, With tears and love, Goodbye. We hope to meet in heaven, Our father's home on high.
