Adams County Free Press, September 14, 1904, page 2 Paul Dowlin McClelland, an old and greatly respected resident of this county, died Sunday at his home in Jasper Township. He was in his eighty-first year and death resulted from cancer of the stomach. the funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the house, the services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Bell. Interment was made in the Methodist Grove Cemetery. Deceased has been a resident of this county for many years and was universally esteemed as an upright man and a first class citizen. His death will be greatly regretted. He leaves six childrn to mourn his loss, three children and his wife having preceded him to othe othr shore. The children, all of whom live in this county are Rev. W. C. McClelland, John, and Marion McClelland, Mrs. A. G. Kennon, and Misses Lizzie and Cynthia McClelland; They have the sympathy of their friends in their loss. Adams County Free Press, September 7, 1904, page 5
