McClelland, daughter of Paul D. and Elizabeth Anderson McClelland was born March 29,1859 near Randolph, Iowa. she came to Adams County the same year with her family, having purchased a farm in Methodist Grove vicinity, where the family resided for many years. After the death of her parents, Elizabeth and her sister, Cynthia moved to Nodaway, in 1906, where they lived until 1930 when their health failed, they moved to Corning and made their home with their brother, the late Rev. McClelland, daughter of Paul D. and Elizabeth Anderson McClelland was born March 29,1859 near Randolph, Iowa. she came to Adams County the same year with her family, having purchased a farm in Methodist Grove vicinity, where the family resided for many years. After the death of her parents, Elizabeth and her sister, Cynthia moved to Nodaway, in 1906, where they lived until 1930 when their health failed, they moved to Corning and made their home with their brother, the late Rev. W. C. McClelland and his wife. When their brother's health failed in 1937, they removed to Nodaway where they have been tenderly cared for in the home of their niece Mrs. Charles N. Kennedy and her husband. Miss Elizabeth having passed to her reward February 16 of this year. The bond of affection which linked the lives of these two sisters was a strong and beautiful one. For a few months, Miss McClelland has suffered from old age and on the morning of Wednesday, February 13, she suffer a severe hemorrhage from which the frail body succumbed Sunday morning, February 16, 1941, after loving hands and medical skill had done all that could be humanly done. Elizabet was converted and united with the Christian Presbyterian Church at Mt. Zion at the age of 19, and later transferred her membership to the Nodaway Presbyterian Church. Miss McClelland is survived by her sister, Cynthia, the only surviving member of her father's family, who with several nieces and nephews will mourn her departure. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Church Tuesday morning by her pastor, Rev. Forest Phodiner.
