McClelland, whose death we mentioned last week, as having died on Tuesday of pulmonary tuberculosis, was held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Presbyterian church in our city, conducted, by Rev. R. J. Rutt. Interment was made in Methodist Grove cemetery, southeast of Nodaway. J. Rutt. Interment was made in Methodist Grove cemetery, southeast of Nodaway. Paul Marion McClelland was born June 9, 1854, in Knox county, Ohio, being aged 6l years, 10 months and 2 days at the time of his death. When about three years of age he with his parents removed from Ohio to Warren county, Iowa, where he remained until 1859, when he located in Adams county, Iowa. He was married in 1878 to Miss Laura E. Bower and to them eleven children were born. Three of the children died in infancy, and Mrs. Montie Spring passed away the 2nd of February, 1910. Mrs. McClelland died February 5, 1898. On the 5th of September, 1900, Mr. McClelland was married to Miss Jennie E. Morgam and to this union one son was born. Mr. McClelland leaves his wife and the following children to mourn his departure, William, Emory, Frank, Clyde, Pearl and Miss Blanche McClelland, Mrs. Jessie Spring, and Lawrence McClelland; also three sisters, Mrs. A. G. Kennon, of Corning; Misses Lizzie and Cynthia McClelland, of Nodaway; and one brother, Rev.W. O. 'McClelland, of Corning. All of Mr. McClelland's children, with the except of Miss Blanche, who is teaching music at Cape Girardeau, Mo., reside in this vicinity and all were present at the funeral. In 1877 Mr. McClelland united with the Presbyterian church in Mt. Zion and in 1892 was ordained and installed a ruling elder, which position he held for a long time. When he located in this community he placed his church membership with the Corning Presbyterian church. During his long residence in this community Mr. McClelland was engaged in the real estate business. He was well and favorably known by almost all of our readers over the county. Many friends will miss Mr. McClelland and join in extending deepest sympathy to his loved ones in their bereavement. Among the friends and relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were iMrs. Frank McBlrath, of Lincoln, Nsbr.; Mr. and Mrs. E. E.
