Edward Korncisel was vocalist and Mrs. Jesse Purdy organist. Burial was in the Odebolt cemetery with Wesley Bernhardt, Niles Meltesen, W.E. Story, Russell Peters, Milton Paul, all of Odebolt and Harry Cook of Wall Lake, the attendants. The Rebekahs served lunch in the IOOF hall following the services. Peter Luft was born at Odebolt, Sac county, Iowa, November 2, 1889, the son of Henry and Mary Luft. He was married to Lucille Buettner at Odebolt. They had three children, Charles, Donald and Phyllis. They lived in this community most of their lives. Mrs. Luft died in 1961, and for the past nine years Mr. Luft made his home in California. He lived with his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Huisenga in Gardena, Cal. for five years, and since that time had made his home with his son, Donald at Gardena. Mr. Luft was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two brothers, John and Gus and a sister, Anna. Survivors include his three children; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Louie Luft of Schaller; and one sister, Katherine Luft, of Florida.
