Read More	Havre Daily News Sept. 26,1996 Ralph Leroy Colier, 74, Havre, died Tuesday, Sept. 24,1996, in a traffic accident involving a car and a truck east of Zurich. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday Sept. 28, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Father Kenneth Green officiating. Internment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the V.F.W. following the committal service at the Cemetery. He was born on March 18,1922, in Havre to Charles and Annie Colier. He attended Havre High School and was an all state forward on the 1940 State Championship Blue Pony Basketball Team. He graduated from Havre High School in 1940. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and after his discharge worked for the Boeing Company in Seattle. He later returned to Montana and worked as a bartender at the Cadilac Hotel in Whitefish. In 1947 he married Aileen Parkins in Kalispell, Aileen passed away in 1980. He also worked in Havre as a lineman and in Whitefish where he ran the Standard Oil Service Station for his father in-law. In 1950 he began working for the Great Northern Railroad as a brakeman and later as a Amtrak baggage man. He retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad. Ralph married Emi Sasaki in 1981. He loved golf, fishing, hunting, playing card, and watching athletic events. He was a past commander of the VFW and was very active in their various events. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge and was a member of Havre Central Booster Club. He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Mathea Kathryn, his parents, Charles and Annie Colier, a sister Lorraine Thornton, and a brother Chester Colier. He is survived by his wife, Emi, three daughters, Susan Morris of Issaquah, Wash., Kathleen Haines and Paula Willis of Spokane, Wash., four step children, Larry Sasaki, Patsy Divish, Jean Winchell, of Havre and Margie Thompson of Whitefish,, a sister Lillian Good of Havre, a brother Church Colier of Havre, five grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorials may be sent to the Veterans Honor Guard or an organization of one's choice.
