Description	:	The 1860 U. S. Federal Census lists Rebecca as married, age 22, living in Jackson Township, Shelby Co., Ohio. Rebecca and Uriah Martin "Uri" Babcock were married on October 5, 1859, in Jackson Center, Shelby Co., Ohio. They had one son, William "Willie" Orville Babcock. In 1867, Uri accepted the job of school teacher in the newly built school on land owned by his brother, Joshua G. Babcock, near the Longbranch SDB Church, Richardson County, Nebraska. Federal Census lists Rebecca as married, age 22, living in Jackson Township, Shelby Co., Ohio. Rebecca and Uriah Martin "Uri" Babcock were married on October 5, 1859, in Jackson Center, Shelby Co., Ohio. They had one son, William "Willie" Orville Babcock. In 1867, Uri accepted the job of school teacher in the newly built school on land owned by his brother, Joshua G. Babcock, near the Longbranch SDB Church, Richardson County, Nebraska. From 1868-1870, Uri also ministered to the Longbranch Church as a licentate. They then decided to move to Alfred, New York and attend the Seventh Day Baptist School of Theology and become a licensed minister. In 1873, they were members of the 1st Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church, Alfred, Allegany Co., New York. From 1887-1891, Uri, Rebecca and Willie returned to Richardson County, Nebr. where he ministered to the Longbranch SDB Church. In 1902, the U. S. Census finds them living in Buffalo, Erie Co., New York. In 1904 a New York City Directory lists Uri, Rebecca and Orville, living in Buffalo, NY. The 1910 U. S. Federal Census shows that Rebecca (age 71) is a widow. They are living in Humboldt, Richardson, Nebraska. Her son, William Orville Babcock is living with her (age 45).
