Description	:	The Rev. Geo. Albert Williams, who died in Deerfield on the evening of Saturday, the 12th inst., was born in Taunton, Mass., Jan. 6, 1810. He was the son of Francis Williams and was one of a family of eleven, of whom six are still living. Albert Williams, who died in Deerfield on the evening of Saturday, the 12th inst., was born in Taunton, Mass., Jan. 6, 1810. He was the son of Francis Williams and was one of a family of eleven, of whom six are still living. He was always of a studious turn and when he arrived at suitable age began to prepare for the Christian ministry. His studies were carried on for the most part under the direction of Rev. Bernard Whitman. In 1836 he was ordained as pastor of the Unitarian church at Saco, Me. He was afterward settled in East Bridgewater, Mass., and in Wayland, Mass., as pastor of the Unitarian churches in those places. From quite an early age he had been troubled by a recurring affection of the eyes, which, when he was about 37, resulted in the entire loss of the sight of one eye and determined him to abandon his profession, though he occasionally conducted services afterward. In 1847 he removed to Cambridge, where he resided till 1850, engaging in business there and in Boston. In 1855 he removed to Deerfield, where he continued to reside, in the village of Wapping, until his death. In Deerfield he was the originator of the Wapping Farmers' Club, which was one of the earliest, if not the earliest, in this vicinity, and which was a flourishing institution until the institution of the Grange. During Mr. Williams' ministry in Saco he boarded in the family of Dr. Ezra Deane of Biddeford, whose daughter Sarah he married in 1839. After her death he married in 1860, Jane Dickinson, daughter of the late Rev. Rodolphus Dickinson of Deerfield. During the last years of his life he was almost entirely blind on account of the disease previously mentioned, an affliction which he bore with unfailing cheerfulness and resignation.
