Manon, 21, a former resident of the Edgerton area, drowned Sunday afternoon, May 26, 1957 in Coldwater Lake, near Coldwater, MI, when he fell from a surfboard on which he had been riding. The fatal incident took place about 4 pm. He was not wearing a life jacket. The body was recovered at 9 pm Sunday. Mr. Manon was born near Edgerton to Maynard and Helen (Rice) Manon.
