Read More	* PLEASE NOTE that all newspapers published before January 1, 1923 are in the public domain and therefore have no restrictions on use. * Richard Hynson, one of the most prominent lawyers of the Kent county bar, died at his home in Chestertown, at seven o'clock on Wednesday morning, in the sixty-ninth year of his age, of a complicated attack of heart and kidney trouble. Mr. Hynson was born January 20, 1821, at Deer Park, or Poplar Grove, the residence of his father, in St. Paul's Parish, Kent county. He was the son of Thomas Bowers and Ann (Dunn) Hynson. His parental ancestor, Thos. Hynson, was an early settler, and for several years and at different times the Clerk and High Sheriff of Kent county. His mother was descended from and old and distinguished family of the same county. He received a classical education in Kent, his native county, and finished his course of study at the academy at Chester, Pennsylvania, during the presidency of Dr. William Dubois. After completing his studies at the academy he studied law with his relative, Judge John B. Eccleston, of Chestertown, and in the office of Hon. George Vickers. He was admitted to the bar of Kent county at the September term of 1843. Until the time of the disorganization of the Whig party, he was an Old Line Whig, but with the death of Whigism, he cast his political fortunes with Democracy, and never for a moment had he wavered in his political faith or allegiance. In religion he was an Episcopalian. On December 7, 1843, he married Carolene Louisa Marsh, a niece of Judge J. B. Eccleston, and a daughter of Elias Marsh and Mary Louisa (Eccleston), of Philadelphia. Mr. Hynson leaves a wife and four children: Mrs. William M. Slay, nee Augusta Eccleston Hynson, Carolene Louisa Hynson, Mrs. Edward Rogers, nee Marlane Hynson, and Richard Dunn Hynson. Abstract from: "Chestertown Transcript," Chestertown, Maryland, Thursday, October 24, 1889. -- The remains of Richard Hynson were interred at St. Paul's Church on Saturday last. Funeral services were held at his late residence on Front street by Rev. S. C. Roberts, of Emmanuel Protestant Episcopal Church, at eleven o'clock A.M. The pall-bearers were: Messrs. Wm. N. E. Wickes, James A. Pearce, Charles T. Westcott, Dr. Samuel Beck, William T. Hepbron, Samuel Cacy, John Brice and R. S. Emory.
