Davis. He is the Son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Edward Davis route 1, Arcadia. Miss Van Merer is a senior at Jackson Central high school, Arcadia, and her fiance is a 1961 graduate of Jackson Central school. He is currently employed with Allison's, Indianapolis. No date has been set for the wedding. Dixie and Ron were married at the church of the Brotheran East of Arcadia. Dixie was a cheer leader in high school. Daughter Rhonda Lee Davis 1964 Son Jeffery Allen Davis 1965 Died while pinned under a vehicle he was working on. Daughter Deborah Ann Davis 1969 He was an excellent mechanic. He operated a lathe at Allison. He had been a grocery store clerk at Bob's Market in Arcadia (Bob Wisher). In the 1980's he did hobby farming for his father Noah (Eddie). He liked to work on antique cars. He was noted for his honesty. 03/29/1997 Tipton Tribune Arcadia, Indiana --- Ronald Eugene Davis, 53, Arcadia, died Friday at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Born August 18th, 1943, in Anderson, he was the son of Noah Edward and Madeline Thelma Dunn Davis. His father survives. He was married September 13th, 1963 to Dixie VanMeter. She survives. A graduate of Jackson Central High School in 1961. He had been working for Alison Transmission in Indianapolis for 34 years. He also had farmed for the the past 20 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the United Auto Worker's Local 933. Others surviving are two daughters, Rhonda Lee Foweler and Deborah Ann Davis of Arcadia; one son Jeffery Allen Davis of Lapel; one brother, Jack Edward Davis of Tipton; and five grandchildren. Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery with the Reverend Mark Coffey officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hartley Funeral Home's Arcadia Chapel. March 28th, 1997
