He was born September 29, 1942 in Monroe Twp., Ohio at home to the late Jessie and Esther (Hoops) Germann. He married Karen Bostelman in 1970 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Ron was a 1960 graduate of Hamler High School. He worked as a supervisor at Miller Bros. Construction and retired after 42 years of service. Germann, 78, of Napoleon, Ohio died peacefully on Friday, May 7th, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1942 in Monroe Twp., Ohio at home to the late Jessie and Esther (Hoops) Germann. He married Karen Bostelman in 1970 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Ron was a 1960 graduate of Hamler High School. He worked as a supervisor at Miller Bros. Construction and retired after 42 years of service. In retirement, he drove cars for Snyder Chevrolet, enjoyed taking care of his lawn and garden and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp., where he held various church positions. He had helped coach the White Sox Napoleon Little League team back when his boys played. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Tracy Germann, Scott Germann, and Mike Germann; grandchildren, Taylor and Alexa; and siblings, Janice Hales, Joan Yoder, Norma (Dick) Miller, Denny (Mary) Germann, Karen (Gary) Geis, and Diane (Ladd) Beck. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 3-7 p.m. at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp., where visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp. Online condolences may be made at www.rodenbergergray.com
