Funeral services were in charge of Passmore Funeral home In Coggon and were held in the Peace Lutheran church in Ryan. Mrs. Bohren was born Jan. l6, 1880 at Grindelwald, Switzerland and was married to Mr. Bohren, June 18, 1901. Funeral services were in charge of Passmore Funeral home In Coggon and were held in the Peace Lutheran church in Ryan. Mrs. Bohren was born Jan. l6, 1880 at Grindelwald, Switzerland and was married to Mr. Bohren, June 18, 1901. She and her husband together with six of their children came to this country in 1911 and settled in Jones county for a few months. They went then to LaCrosse, Wis., for almost two years and returned to Jones county again in 1913. At that time they moved to Coggon, where since 1914, &ey have made their home on a small acreage just outside the city limits on highway 13 south. The mourners include four sons, Fred of Thornton, Calif., Albert of Cedar Rapids, Walter and Leo of Central City; three daughters, Adeline, Mrs. Will Albers of Monticello, Frieda, Mrs. John Oltmanns of Anamosa and Emily, Mrs. Oral Gleason. Eight children preceded her in death, all but one in infancy, and one sister, Mrs. Louise Brawand. There are fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One sister, Susan and one brother, Christian, are yet living in Switzerland. The pallbearers were Louis Nies, Ed Zumbach, Ray Chismore, Fred Boss, Cecil Cooper and H.H. Henderson. Burial in the Protestant cemetery at Prairieburg.
