Tenth, died at 6:55 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital after an extended illness. She had been a patient at the hospital since Oct. 26. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Douglas in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Ruby Hull Nixon was born May 26, 1896, in Decatur County, Iowa, the daughter of Edward J. and Evelyn (sic. a/k/a Eveline Millhouse Hull) Millhouse Hull. She was reared and educated in the Fairfield and Cross Lanes Communities. She was a member of the Cross Lanes Presbyterian Church. She was married Dec. 26, 1914 to Merl Nixon at Ottumwa. She was a former practical nurse. Survivors include two sons, Ralph Nixon, Fairfield, and George Nixon, Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Campbell, Birmingham; eight grandchildren and seven great grand-children. Also three brothers, Ralph Hull who lives in Canada; Clarence Hull, Pleasant Plain; and Paul Hull, Fairfield, and a sister, Mrs. Florence Springer, Ottumwa. Mrs. Nixon was preceded in death by her husband who died Dec. 17, 1949 (sic. Merl died on Friday, Dec. 16, 1949) and three sisters.
