Description	:	Samuel Scott, the man who suffered a stroke of paralysis on a South Tenth Street Car several days ago, died yesterday at his home, 2201 South Tenth Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services were held under the auspices of the G.A.R. and he will be taken Tuesday morning to Hastings, Iowa for interment. Mr. Scott is survived by a widow and eight children. The four daughters are Mrs. O. S. Burke of Palmer, Nebraska, Mrs. Amos Hunt of Arcadia, Nebraska, Mrs. D. H. McGee of Clinton, Minnesota, and Miss Pearl M. Scott, Lincoln, Nebraska. The four surviving sons are Leslie E., of Fullerton, Nebraska, Albert, of Lincoln, Walter L. of Hastings, Iowa and Marcus B. of Alberta, Canada. Mr. Scott was a member of Co. F. of the Twenty-first Missouri infantry and afterwards a member of Co. D. of the Forty-fifth Iowa infantry. He served two years in the civil war, was a member of the Farragut post of the G.A.R. and of the I.O.O.F. at Palmer, Nebraska. The family wish to extend to the motorman and conductor and also to their neighbor, Mr. L. Bauer, their sincere thanks for the kindness in assisting Mr. Scott after he was stricken while a passenger of the street car. All of the family were present at the funeral except Marcus B. and Mrs. Hunt. Malvern Leader, December 22, 1910, page 1 Samuel Scott, an old time resident in the vicinity of Hastings, died Sunday at his home in Lincoln, Neb. A few days before, he was stricken with paralysis while riding in a street car, and a second shock came later, both severe ones. The remains will be brought this Tuesday morning on No. -1 to Hastings, and the funeral service w i l l be held at the Mothodist church there.
