Lindsey, in Council Bluffs. She had made her home in Council Bluffs for the past 15 years. She is survived by one son, Melvin Ellison of Hay Springs, Nebraska, and five daughters; Mrs. Lindsey of Council Bluffs, F.E. Mooney of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Dick Coyle of Pisgah, Mrs. Hugh Ramsey of Portsmouth, Iowa, and Mrs. D.O. Jones of Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Logan Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. K. Hargrove of Omaha. Music was furnished by Mrs. Roy Havens and Mrs. C. N. Carson. The pallbearers were W. H. Stoner, J. T. Case, M. H. McMillen, T. C. Doyle, C. F. Johnson, and Ed Young. The interment was in the Ellison cemetery northeast of Logan. ********************* HARRISON COUNTY HEARLD THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1930 Early Settler Buried Sunday November 30, 1930 Mrs. Sarah Ann Ellison, 82, an early settler of Harrison County but a resident of Council Bluffs the past 15 years, passed away Thursday, November 27 at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. E. Lindsey, 201 S. 10th St., Council Bluffs. The deceased, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Owens is the last to go of her family. The deceased was born in Indiana. After her marriage some 62 years ago, she and her husband lived at Six Mile Grove. The husband preceded her in death a few years ago and two children died while small. Surviving are Melvin, of Hay Springs, Nebraska; five daughters, Mrs. Edith Coyle, Orson; Mrs. Dora Mooney, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Lily Lindsey, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Laura Ramsey, Persia; and Mrs. Neta Jones, Omaha, Nebraska. She also leaves many grand and great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church of Logan at 1:30 PM Sunday, November 30, with Rev. Hargrove, pastor of the Christian Church of Omaha, a former Logan pastor officiating. Interment was made in the Ellison cemetery near Logan. This cemetery ground was donated by her husband.
