This firm was established In the spring of 1891 and for eleven years it has been doing a fine business in Hiawatha. The two brothers, Seward and Dilbert N. were born In McLain County, Ill. The former July 8, 1860 and the latter Sept. 7, 1862. They came to Kansas In 1881 and have been residents of Hiawatha ever since. Seward Graham began the clothing business in the employ of S. Hesselberger in 1882. He staid with him a year and then held a situation in Topeka for a short time and then went onto the road for Baden of St. Joe. He was a successful salesman and has followed the business ever since and for the past six years he has been on the road for Fleisher Bros, of Philadelphia. He Is a Mason and a Woodman. He was married In 1891 to Miss Mary Dilling of Hastings, Nebr. They have two sons Norrith and Hilton. They have a handsome home in the east part of Hiawatha. Both Mr. and Mrs. Graham are members of the First Congregational Church of Hiawatha. Dilbert N. Graham is the managing partner of the firm of Graham Bros. He began work for S. Hesselberger in the spring of 1882 and staid with him for three years. He then worked for Lawrence & Bierer until Feb. 1888 when he became a partner In the firm of Bierer, Lawrence & Co. This firm was dissolved In 1891 and Mr. Graham started the present business which has grown to its present grand proportions under his skillful management. He is a Mason and a member of the Knights of Pythias and has been Chancellor Commander of the K. P. lodge. He has also served on the city council. Mr. Graham was married May 8, 1889, to, Miss Mary Speer of Brown County. They have two children, Finley and Grace. Both Mr. and Mrs. Graham are members of the First Congregational church of Hiawatha. The firm of Graham Bros., is up to date and progressive. Its members have faith In Hiawatha and they always help liberally any public enterprise. They have made their business a success by good management and careful attention and today it is recognized as one of the best of the many good businesses of Hiawatha.
