STRONG HELD TODAY Life long resident of Jefferson county died at Hospital Saturday Mrs. Willis Strong, 80, life-long resident of Jefferson county passed away at the Jefferson county hospital Saturday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock. She had been ill for ten days. Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home this afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Rev. W. J. Bell. Burial was in the city cemetery. Mrs. Stella May Strong was born June 7, 1860, in Jefferson county, where she lived her entire life. She was a member of the Hawkeye Rebekah Lodge No. 386. Surviving Mrs. Strong are: one son, Clifford of Fairfield; one granddaughter, Mrs. Virginia Moore, one great-grandson, Lyle Vernon Moore; two sisters, Mrs. A. E. Gale and Mrs. W. W. Morris, both of Wichita, Kansas. One brother, Marion Winsell, preceded her in death twelve years ago. Mr. Strong passed away nine years ago.
