Services will be at 10:00am Friday, February 11 at St. John's Catholic Church with burial at Scotty Philip Cemetery Susan Edna (Konechne) Pospisil was born September 29, 1944 to John and Florence (Jacobsen) Konechne at Kimball, SD. She grew up on a farm south of Kimball where she attended country school, then graduated from Kimball High School in 1962. That fall, she attended South Dakota State College at Brookings, SD where she met and married Loren Pospisil. From this marriage four children were born: Loren Jr., Barbara Marie, Katherine Sue and Sandra Rae. They moved to Ft. Pierre in 1967 where she operated a day care business for 20 years while raising her four children. She was active in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and considered these two organizations to be some of the best programs for our growing youth. She enjoyed being with and visiting people. For her that was the best part of attending rummage sales and auctions or to go shopping at the mall or Hospice. She especially enjoyed being with her family. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were her main joy. When time allowed she enjoyed fishing and hunting. She enjoyed collecting bells, putting puzzles together and doing crossword puzzles. She liked angels and was a woman of faith. She is survived by her mother Florence Konechne of Kimball, SD; husband Loren of Ft. Pierre, SD; son Loren Pospisil Jr. of Bayard, NE; daughters: Barb (Donald) Zimmer of Sturtevant WI, Katherine Pospisil of Ft. Pierre, SD and Sandra (Larry) Hedman of Canton, SD; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers: David Konechne and James "Jamie" (Audrey) Konechne Jr. both of Kimball, SD; sister Doris Ellen Kuestermeyer of Mitchell, SD; sister-in-law Barbara Konechne of Mitchell, SD and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father John Konechne, adopted father James C. Konechne Sr., grandparents and nephew John Konechne.
