Her father's family afterward lived in Illinois and it was here where on May 1, 1861 in Lanark, Carroll county, she was married to William D. Frazey with whom she moved to Kansas in 1870 and settled in Brown oounty. They lived until 1895 in the southern part of the county and then moved to Hiawatha. Her father's family afterward lived in Illinois and it was here where on May 1, 1861 in Lanark, Carroll county, she was married to William D. Frazey with whom she moved to Kansas in 1870 and settled in Brown oounty. They lived until 1895 in the southern part of the county and then moved to Hiawatha. Mr. Frazey's death occurred December 19, 1907. To the union nine children were born. Emma Bell and James A. died in infancy. Clara A. died at the age of 25. The sons and daughters who survive to mourn the loss of mother are Harry of Hiawatha, Mrs. Chas Mather of Clyde, Chas O. of Holton, Mrs. F.M. Watkins of Cherryvale, Frank of Atchison, and Mrs. Nugent of Los Angeles, California. Other members of the immediate family who survive are a brother, H.W. Zook of Long Beach, California, and a sister Mrs. Ritter of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Frazey was a religious woman, a good Christian. She was such practically all her life as she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church when but a young girl and continued a faithful member to the end. She was also a member of the Women's Relief Corps in which she rendered faithful service for a number of years, such service as has proven to be a great help and source of happiness to the old soldiers. Mrs. Frazey had been in failing health for several years and had suffered a stroke of paralysis some months ago. In the forenoon of Friday, April 27, free from all pain and without a struggle she slipped away into the life beyond. She had reached the age of 75 years and 15 days. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church and burial was made in the Hiawatha Cemetery.
