Description	:	Terry Beaber, 25, died Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 1970, at University Hospitals in Iowa City as a result of complications resulting from an accident on June 30th. Beaber, employed by the City of Mount Pleasant, was working on an electric power utility pole at the corner of South White and Green Streets and fell to the ground. There was some speculation that his head came in contact with a “hot” wire which knocked him off the pole. Read More	Terry Beaber, 25, died Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 1970, at University Hospitals in Iowa City as a result of complications resulting from an accident on June 30th. Beaber, employed by the City of Mount Pleasant, was working on an electric power utility pole at the corner of South White and Green Streets and fell to the ground. There was some speculation that his head came in contact with a “hot” wire which knocked him off the pole. In the fall he suffered a severely crushed vertebra and underwent surgery at University Hospitals on July 1st. His condition had improved considerably and he had been taking therapy. Doctors had feared the possibility of partial or total paralysis from the waist down. Death was the result of a blood clot traveling to the lungs. Terry Wesley Beaber was born November 14, 1944, at Mount Pleasant the son of Ledru and Wanda (Bonser) Beaber. On December 12, 1969, he was married to Linda Holt at Mount Pleasant. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1963 [and played four years of football, and lettered three years]. He was a member of the Rome Baptist Church. He was survived by his wife Linda; his parents; step-daughter Kelly Lynn; brother Tony Beaber of Mount Pleasant; sister Karen Smith of New London; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Bonser of Mount Pleasant. Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Peter Siemens officiating. Interment was in the White Oak Cemetery. -- The Mt.
