Description	:	McCoy—Thos. McCoy died at his home northeast of Hiawatha Thursday morning, Oct. 4, of heart trouble. Mr. McCoy was born in New Athens, Ohio, in 1829. From there he moved to Iowa and came to Brown county in 1868, locating soon after on the place where he died. With him lived his two daughters, Mrs. Ida Stickles and Miss Hannah McCoy, who has been an invalid for years. Mr. McCoy leaves three children, C. A. McCoy, Miss Hannah McCoy and Mrs. Ida Stickles. His wife died nine years ago, and a son, Thos. Albert, died 4 years ago. One of his neighbors, T. H. Purslow, brought to this office this tribute: We have lost a true friend and kind neighbor. Generous beyond description, his cheerful countenance was always a pleasure to look upon.
