Description	:	Timothy Emerson II was the son of Timothy and Mary (Felch) Emerson. He was born in Ashby, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 1 July 1777 and died at Keene, Coshocton, Ohio 30 Oct 1873 at the age of 96. He married Mary (Polly) Trowbridge on 4 March, 1802. Timothy II was two years old when his mother died and eleven when his father died. He went to live with his Uncle Peter Emerson in Boston where he learned the shoemaker trade. He was born in Ashby, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 1 July 1777 and died at Keene, Coshocton, Ohio 30 Oct 1873 at the age of 96. He married Mary (Polly) Trowbridge on 4 March, 1802. Timothy II was two years old when his mother died and eleven when his father died. He went to live with his Uncle Peter Emerson in Boston where he learned the shoemaker trade. Upon his marriage to Miss Trowbridge of Newton he returned to Ashby where he resided until 1814 when he moved to Hancock, New Hampshire. He emigrated to Keene, Ohio on September 18, 1818. There he organized a Sabbath School and assisted in organizing a Presbyterian Church, was elected ruling Elder and held that office to the day of his death. He moved his wife and 8 children to Ohio with the family of his first cousin Jacob. Then they had two more children in Keene. From the History of Coshocton County: "Timothy Emerson II was a citizen of Keene Township from 1818 until 1873, came from Ashby, Mass. He reached the good old age of 96 - was a farmer - died Oct. 30 1873, just as arrangements were being carried out for removal to Granville where two children resided. He was greatly beloved, 'a good man'".
