Description	:	Violet Mae Bock, age 79, of Denver, passed away on Monday, October 04, 2010, at the Waverly Health Care Center. Violet was born on May 31, 1931, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Margaret (Nolte) Fasse. She was raised in the Readlyn area and graduated from the Readlyn High School in May of 1949. On June 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Bock at St. John's Lutheran Church, Maxfield. Read More	Violet Mae Bock, age 79, of Denver, passed away on Monday, October 04, 2010, at the Waverly Health Care Center. Violet was born on May 31, 1931, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Margaret (Nolte) Fasse. She was raised in the Readlyn area and graduated from the Readlyn High School in May of 1949. On June 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Bock at St. John's Lutheran Church, Maxfield. Violet spent the majority of her life in the Denver area where she spent her time working and as a homemaker. Violet was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Denver and St. Peter's Quilting Guild. Violet loved her grandchildren, they knew her as Grandma Bock or GG and enjoyed being taught by her how to crochet, sew, and quilt. She also enjoyed collecting frogs, fishing, playing cribbage and schafkopf, wearing her mink stole (hooded sweat shirt) and scarfs, cooking, and baking, where her specialties were rice pudding and chocolate chip cookies. Violet's memory is honored by her three children, Mary (Ron) Dunlap of Stockton, MO, Larry (Robin) Bock of Kearney, MO, and Sharon McElroy of Kansas City, MO, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, Virgil (Marlene) Fasse of Waverly, Victor (Judy) Fasse of Waverly, and Venice (Sharon) Fasse of Cedar Falls, and a sister-in-law, Mick Fasse of Waverly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbert in 1985, and a brother, Vernon Fasse. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Denver. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
