Description	:	Walter O. Legg, 63, died at his home on South Buckeye street in Kokomo, Tuesday morning shortly after 5 o'clock after a two weeks' illness from intestinal flu. Word of the death was received here early Tuesday morning and Mrs. Nannie Grishaw, a sister, went at once to Kokomo. Word of the death was received here early Tuesday morning and Mrs. Nannie Grishaw, a sister, went at once to Kokomo. The aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Legg, resides with the daughter, Mrs. Grishaw on North west street, Tipton. Another brother, Omer Legg, resides at Ann Arbor, Michigan. Walter O. Legg was one of the pioneer school teachers of this county and taught in the Tipton schools in the early nineties. He was born at Windfall, a son of the late Arthur M. Legg and Mrs. Sarah (Owen) Legg, pioneer residents of Wildcat township. The father, who was one of the influential men of this county, died in 1896, in Tipton, where the family moved in 1892 from Windfall and have since resided. The deceased was united in marriage to Miss Cora Young of Tipton and to this union two daughters were born, they and the widow surviving. The daughters are Mrs. Lelia Kern, wife of Harry Kern of Kokomo and Mrs. Hazel Huron, wife at Lloyd B. Huron of Detroit. He is also survived by several grandchildren. After coming to Tipton Mr. Legg was employed in the city schools for several terms and for several years was in business here. About eight ago he purchased a cigar and confectionery here in Kokomo and the family removed to that city. The deceased leaves many friends in this city who will regret much to learn of his death. Mrs. Sarah Legg, the mother, will not be able to attend the funeral services so arrangements have been made to bring the body to Tipton Thursday afternoon and short services will be held at the Legg home on North West street. Tipton friends of the deceased may attend these services.
