Description	:	Wayne "Windy" Miller was born December 22, 1922 in Holstein, Iowa, and passed away June 26, 1998 at the age of 75. Wayne left behind his wife, Irene Sampson Miller, of 47 years, who resides at the family home in West Richland; his three children, Weldon of Indiana, Janet "Jan" Smith and Michael of West Richland and five grandchildren, Billy, Sara, Walter, Jennifer and Zachariah, also survive Wayne. Wayne left behind his wife, Irene Sampson Miller, of 47 years, who resides at the family home in West Richland; his three children, Weldon of Indiana, Janet "Jan" Smith and Michael of West Richland and five grandchildren, Billy, Sara, Walter, Jennifer and Zachariah, also survive Wayne. Windy worked in construction as a crane operator. He and his wife, Irene moved to the Tri-Cities in 1975 where he worked until January of 1998. At the time of his retirement from Westinghouse Hanford in March on 1991, Windy had been a working Union member for 50 years. After retirement, he worked for Chris Inc., at the Port of Umatilla, two days a week until January of this year. Windy who lived to ride his Harley spent his free time working on his Harley and up until his death he rode to live. Windy was also a veteran of World War II, a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies and a noble of the Masada Shrine Temple in Yakima, Washington. Masonic memorial services were held Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at 4:00 pm at Einan's Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 1, 1998 at 1:00 pm in Brewster, Washington. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children of Spokane, North 820 Summit Boulevard, Spokane, WA 99210-1598 or to the Kennewick Hospice House at 2108 West Entiat Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99336. Services under the arrangement of Einan's Funeral Home.
